Position: Marketing + Social Media Manager
Location: Remote (Work from home with in-person meetings at Third+Bird’s office in Winnipeg)
Job Type: Salary Position (24–35 hours per week)

We’re looking for a dedicated, hard-working individual to be the voice of our brand across multiple social platforms. This role requires a blend of creativity, strategy, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, with a willingness to learn and expand into YouTube and X (formerly Twitter).

• Develop creative, engaging, and platform-specific content (photo, video, text) that resonates with Third+Bird’s audience.

• Lead market campaigns that showcase all the makers involved in the market (posting blogs on the website, newsletters and posting on social media channels)and strategies aimed at growing our follower base, increasing engagement, and generating measurable ROI through ads.

• Capture photos and videos at all Third+Bird shows, ensuring coverage across all channels. This also includes all content and growth for our Winnipeg Airport storefront.

• Write and distribute monthly newsletters (and sometimes more frequent editions).

•  Create and maintain our website blog by creating high-quality, engaging posts.

• Edit and post photos and videos that push creative boundaries while staying on brand

• Track and report on the performance of social media campaigns, offering data-driven insights for continuous improvement.

• Act as a brand ambassador by interacting with both shoppers and makers, fostering a sense of community.

• Maintain and create strong relationships with Third + Bird ambassadors, partners and sponsors. This includes, emails, phone calls, creating special events or working in partnership with sponsors and partners.

• Stay agile, adaptable, and ready to pivot strategies in fast-paced environments.

• Effective and strong communicator, efficient with time management. A team spirit that is willing to go above and beyond.

• Attend weekly virtual meetings (on-camera) and occasional in-person meetings at the office. 

•  Availability  to attend Third+Bird markets or special appearances, which includes some weekends and evenings and on location at the Winnipeg Airport store.

• Organize and present social media content plans on a bi-weekly basis, utilizing scheduling software.

• Strong eye for design, collaborating and working with our graphic designers to create content to roll down to the market campaigns/newsletters.

What We’re Looking For:

• Creative Leadership: Someone who can take the reins of our social media presence and elevate it to new heights and lead the way with our marketing: Ad's, social and airport store

• Strong Communicator: Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills.

• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and basic understanding of ad management. Willingness to learn YouTube and X. Familiarity with WIX and Planoly is preferred but not necessary. However those platforms are used daily.

• Hard-Working & Adaptable: Comfortable working under tight deadlines, pivoting quickly when needed, and going above and beyond to meet goals. 

• Market Enthusiast: Willing to work weekends and attend all Third+Bird markets to capture content and engage with the community, including the Airport Store. 

• Passion for Local: A genuine love for local makers and an appreciation of what makes Third+Bird special.​
